Hard to say exactly. I do remember both used all of their allotments. Both bought on the secondary market. Both games were true sell-outs. But UNC definitely brought more.

Serious question, do you think recruits are more impressed by getting smoked by UVA, VT, ECU, Marshall, FAU than by beating Sun Belt and MAC teams and going to a bowl? I think the VT win was impressive, and that cant happen unless you play those games. But I also think 2 or 3 P5s in one season is too much for our squad at this time.

Hard to disagree with your thoughts here. And I'm not sure which scenario would be better, getting smoked vs ACC teams or winning enough G5 games to get to a bowl. Both are better than playing below our level, IMO.

I just hope we are better than expected and can show that we belong in a schedule like this. But if it doesn't happen in year one, I do believe it gets better for ODU down the line. Having games in Norfolk against VT, UVA, ECU should really help to build the fan base over time. And we really need that.

Norfolk St
at VT
at UVA
ECU
at UAB
at MTSU
UTSA
at FIU
bye
WKU
at Marshall
at MTSU
Charlotte
FAU

Hey... we're going to MTSU twice next year 04-cheers

Oops....fixed

4-5 wins max next year (w/VT out for blood against us). Anything more will exceed expectations. Need to focus on the positive, such as a renovated stadium and tailgating with family and friends.

I see an opportunity. I'm not saying it's a sure thing.

I see 5 wins at home, a win at FIU and one upset win against the rest. I'm thinking UAB. I'm not writing off UVA or VT though. Maybe we can steal one.

I'm counting on a few changes as well.

Each of the last 3 seasons were met with QB controversies. I think Wilder will avoid that this year.

Also, with the new coaches and strength trainer coming in, I see a new workmanlike attitude in preseason training this year. Each year we hear about players not meeting their off season goals. That's going to end.

I dont think 4-5 wins at home is inconceivable...we will certainly need those games::

NSU
ECU
WKY
UTSA
Char
FAU

Road is going to be brutal. Have to figure out how to grab a couple there.

Good for him. I always watch him on special teams and he really hustles. Terribly light for everyday service, but a huge heart. Love guys like this.

I heard a couple three things about this today as well. Sounds like the seed will be separated from the chaff in short order, and on multiple fronts.

Hopefully, but it's hard to predict anything without know who our starting QB is going to be.

Deciding who our best option is 3 or 4 games into the season has cost us games we should have won. Wilder's been stubborn on Bentley and Williams and he's paid for it.

Kumah appears to be a man with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. I think he is going to be something special this year. Anyone have inside info re: who is the leading candidate to get this man the ball?

Smartt is the favorite. de Weaver will battle him. Should be a good competition.

Thank you for the intel. We need to get this man the ball and let him make his point. Kumah is clearly ready to make a statement to the nfl and vt/4935.

He will be the main target. We don't have other options any way. Need to throw the ball a lot more to the TEs like Cunningham and Anthony.

Agreed - but if you watch this kid on social media, he is fired up and ready to punch our opponents next year in the mouth. He is a great addition who is going to come in with P5 credibility and swagger that will add to our team’s confidence. And this should certainly open up passes to our other catchers.

This is definitely the best media deal news since we joined. That guarantees a weekly premiere game on a pretty big network.
