WAC basketball week 6
NMSU's Ivan Aurrecochea is WAC POTW. He had a dominant performance against UNM. And, it was obvious he was able to score on Kansas as well. Ivan has amazing footwork around the basket. And, he is a good passer out of the post.

This will be a light week for the WAC. There are only a handful of games to be played. NMSU, Seattle and CBU don't have games this week.

GCU is getting the smack down from Texas; Down 26 at the half. We will see if GCU can regroup and make a comeback in the 2nd half.

The conclusion was to that wondering was a decisive "No." Will see how this staff and team respond. Not sure Lopes fans saw much to make to make us optimistic.

The question is when are Lopes fans going to snap out of their Majerle Voodoo Stupor and realize he is not really a good coach?

You know, Texas' Jase Febres is the son of a former NMSU Aggie. He led the Longhorn's in scoring today. Fuel To The Fire GCU might want to stay away from playing Gonzaga (Zach Norvell Jr.) and UC Irvine (Elston Jones Jr.) also. Sons of former Aggies play there as well. 03-wink

UTRGV ran into a hot Texas State team in their loss at home last night. My Bobcats are 10-1 and off to their best start in 65 years. They have a Net ranking of 79. They have never been ranked in the top 100 before this season.

We have never been in the RPI top 100 ranking. For us to be on anyone's top 100 in basketball is amazing.

Tonight's games...

Chicago State (3-9) @ Northwestern (7-3)
Cal Baptists (5-5) @ SE Louisiana (4-5)
Seattle U (9-3) @ Portland U (6-6)
New Mexico State (7-2) vs Northern Colorado (6-2)

Rumor has it another player becomes eligible for NMSU tonight. If true, he will give NMSU even more offensive fire power.
