AAC does UC no favors
The 2018-9 BB schedule has UC playing everyone HH but:

Tulane, ECU, USF and Temple.

Perhaps this is set by pre programing but every ranking has the first 3 as the 3 worst AAC teams. Temple is 5 or 6 but of course we play them in Philly.

Is this pre ordained or is it jerrymandered? Maybe one of you know?

The aac is doing uc and the conference a ton of favors in how it has set up the schedule. It tries to have the tournament contenders play minimal games against the Rpi killers (or NET I guess). This helps our tournament resume.

What I was going to say exactly. It's SoS that kills non power conferences in seeding.

If uc had to play ECU and usf twice last year they likely drop a seed line. Maybe 2 if it's in place of say a home game against Houston.

We don't want to play ECU, Tulane, etc twice. In fact, I don't want to play them once.

Look would i a rather play Temple twice than SMU, Tulsa, or Memphis this year, probably yes but overall the Bearcats play the best teams twice and avoid the bottom feeders. Not only that the majority of best games are back loaded for impact.

The only thing I would change is playing Temple HH...I don't know, but I just like that game. Maybe because it is closer to Cincy? But, maybe it will be better in the future when Temple's program is on a different path?

Yeah the AAC has done a smart job scheduling for their top teams by trying to identify the dregs of the league and have their top teams avoid playing them twice so it doesn't kill their computer numbers. Maybe it is coincidence, but I think they do that on purpose.

AAC does UC no favors
The AAC does it for 2 reasons.

1. Already explained, to help the SOS of the top teams.

2. More attractive games for TV. Specifically for ESPN and CBS national.
