Hey all, not sure if this has been asked before but wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on which was the best MACC? After that crazy thriller last Friday, I'm sure everyone is still riding the high ( I know I am since I've been replaying the game a million times).

For me, it's a tie between 2011 and 2012. 2011 because it was the first one since '83, and 2012 well, you know, Lynchmania. And add in the fact that it was 2 ranked teams.

2012 hands down!

11, 12, and 18 are all interchangeable for me.

Tied: Ohio and Buffalo. The odds of NIU coming back seemed so long. Winning against two formidable opponents in that way was astounding. Kent State is next, but if I recall correctly, we should have won in regulation which took a little luster off the overtime victory. Still, great win against a really tough opponent. The BG win is last, only because it was such a happily boring game. Four MCC wins in seven years. Ahhh...

12, because it got us a BCS bowl. 11 and 18 were great too, all of the were heart stoppers.

2011 because of the crazy comeback and we hadn't won it in a few decades, and the previous year was a huge disappointment at the MACC game..

2011 for me because that was the team that refused to die and finally got it done. I often have to remind myself of how close we came to losing in 2012. Looking at it from this side, it seemed like destiny, but if Sims doesn't hit that 40-some yarder in the first overtime, it never even goes to the second.

Last Friday was pretty friggin cool, gotta admit. I'm still buzzing a week later.

2011 or 2012. Tie. 2011 was just unreal given NIU's drought and the furious comeback. It would be 2012 without a doubt given the BCS implication, its just we did not fully know at the time NIU was in, especially with the PAC12 championship game ongoing at the time which had huge implications.

Totally agree on the Sims kick, that was as clutch as it gets, so much riding on that.

I liked 14 too. Huskies kick but from start to finish.

Hard to pick. I go with 12. Atending that game with all those other Huskies fans made my wife a lifetime fan also

2012. Kent State was ranked #18 going into that game. I remember murmurs that we should just roll over so they could get into a NYD Bowl. It was a match for the ages. And I remember that 2OT catch. It was a thing of beauty. OT in College football is one of the greatest things ever.

Second to that was 2013. There was so much hope there. All the pieces were there. We had so much promise.

2018 was an incredible comeback. When they were down 29-10, I thought game was over. Childers would not quit and nether did the team.

The revenge factor was so sweet.

Side note, but did anyone see any MACC champ hooded sweatshirts for sale? I saw T-shirts but no hoodies. I have an old one from 2011 but I don't know if they still make those anywhere.
