Walk On to RFr All American to Lou Groza Award
Syracuse's Andre Smyzt (pronounced Schmidt) came to Syracuse as a walk on Fall 2017. Came out of no where to start as the PK for Syracuse this year as a Redshirt Freshman and proceeds to become an All American and awarded the Lou Groza Award

Vernon Hills native when NIU’s kicking sucked for years and Northwestern/Wisconsin had no kicking game this year. Dino’s talent evaluation isn’t limited to offense.

Actually Cuse hired Louisville's Recruiting coordinator and he brought him over from Louisville. He was going to be a PWO at the Ville.

Obviously, he got put on full scholie halfway into the season when they figured out how steady he is. Cuse also recruited a 3 star safety from IMG (FL), Andre Cisco, that is receiving AA honors as a true freshman. Things are starting to come together for Cuse...should be a candidate for preseason Top 25 despite our QB, Eric Dungey graduating.

Watched Syracuse in perfect weather in Kalamazoo opening Friday night. That was a fun game. Orange brought a good contingent. Enjoy seeing them in the midwest every few years (NU, CMU, WMU, Purdue soon).

I was there...brought a group of about 60 fans to the game. If I knew you were there...I would have invited you to our tailgate.
