Has he been lowered to 2 stars yet. I know common practice is to lower the ranking when not joining a P5

If Michigan swoops in and Tyrik decommits he is suddenly a solid 3 * star and a 8.9998787^*^* on other sites lol. Those dumb sites don't have a ******* clue...they are looking at the offers.

So did he not play football this past season? Sounds like he was a class of 2018 recruit but had to go to the prep school for academic reasons. Good for him for sticking it through if that’s the case

Where did you read that?
He had Penn State, Michigan, Arizona commits on his team. Can’t find box scores.

Moore will have more players. He’ll have defensive back Tyler Rudolph, from Waterbury, who’s headed to Penn State. Linebacker Charles Thomas from Georgia, headed to Michigan; cornerback Maurice Gaines, from Sacramento, Calif., going to Arizona; offensive lineman Anthony Red of Bloomfield, headed to Syracuse; and cornerback Tyrik Henderson, from the Chicago area, looking at Syracuse and UConn, among others.

I guess I misunderstood the article. It said he was in the class of 2018 (meaning already would have graduated in May), he was quoted he needed an extra year, NIU stuck with him, etc. I guess I’m just confused as to what a prep school like this means.

It's essentially the same as a Juco, as far as we're concerned, except it doesn't start your clock in terms of eligibility. It's a halfway between HS and college.

That article indicates he has had an extra year to get mature and get physically stronger. He will be ready to compete this year for playing time. We already have a future star at CB in Miller.
