WBB--Player Status
It seems the general consensus is that Kelly Koshuta will not be seen on the bench until the end of January. That signals to me that she got into some grade trouble and/or might even be on academic probation. Oopsy!!

We all know that Nikki Oppenheimer is sitting out a transfer year. I do think she'll be a valuable addition to the team, much as Jackie is. However, I have two serious questions about the other two. Does anyone know if Irvine and Ballard are being redshirted? I know Irvine was in a boot until recently, but Ballard hasn't shown any sign of injury since last year. What's up with that?

Another question I have regards duties of non-playing players, redshirts in particular. At Tennessee, redshirted or injured players had some serious duties, like keeping stat sheets. Pat felt that it kept them plugged into the game and what was important. I see that with some other P5 teams too. Seems like it would be a good thing for them to do at JMU.
