Oakland
Last year they were a senior laden team with high hopes. They're rebuilding this year. Just watched them squeak by Fairfield. Hill is legit. Not sure about the rest.

RE: Oakland
They have three guys averaging over 3 assists excluding one guy averaging 5.7 who has played in 3 games. They have an amazing 180 assists/97 turnovers = 1.86. To compare, UNCW's 2016-2017 team that averaged 84.8 points had a ratio of 1.56.

RE: Oakland
Stats aren't everything. I wonder what our stats would look like if we padded our schedule with a division two school and two division three schools like Kalamazoo, Defiance and Hillsdale. Their season stats may not even include numbers from these three games but Oakland's schedule is not filled with powerhouse teams.

RE: Oakland
The stats included the Defiance game, but not the Kalamazoo and Hillsdale games, which were exhibitions. They have played a weak schedule.

10 point favorites this afternoon. We'll see how the injury situation has progressed. Don't want any risk of re-injury. No point in rushing players back for a non-conference game when an at-large bid is off the table.

Huskies up 8, 5 minutes into 2nd half. Pretty efficient on offense tonight. In general look good. Shaq hasn't played and. Not sure if coach's decision or injury.

Occeus is back! Played a couple minutes so far off the bench. Had a nice steal and assist play.

Oakland streaking now. It was an 18 point NU lead now down to 8.

Huskies get it back to an 18 point lead with 13 minutes left.

But Oakland goes on a run and cant miss now. 2 point game. Not good. 72-70

Whew. Have to give Oakland credit. There were a couple of times where they could have thrown in the towel. Great to have Occeus back.

RE: Oakland
I didn’t see the game (I will later tonight) followed online.

They gave up 10 steals and missed 10 free throws. Made it harder on themselves sounds to me.

Definitely nice to have Occeus back though.

All true but Oakland played well, too. Not the team I saw beat Fairfield by one. A couple of other thoughts....is Strong starting to look like a real contributor? Is Shaq hurt?

RE: Oakland
He’s fine as far as I know. He really hasn’t played all that well and is turnover prone so far.

Plus Occeus is back now, so someone has to lose playing time...
