Wow. How little I know. I wondered if a OL coach coaching a line which is far from dominant would be considered a candidate to move up.

I guess I was wrong.

JUCO ties in that area certainly made him an interesting candidate there.

RE: Meadows to Kansas
Seems like a real stretch for Les Miles based on the run productivity of our veteran OLine. Miles couldn't dig into his SEC rolodex for an OLine coach? Settled for a Juco/MAC/EMU guy? Some Kansas fans/boosters must be scratching their heads.

Just sayin

RE: Meadows to Kansas
so two things can be true:
1. This is a good hire for Kansas. You get a guy with strong Kansas JUCO connections who can help recruit now locally.
2. This isn't bad for EMU. Our o-line underachieved last year and this gives us an opportunity to hire a new o-line coach, perhaps someone with more local cache when it comes to recruiting.

I like your point about the line and I agree. That’s an area we have to be better. However, I think we need to go out and grab the best OL coach with JUCO ties that we can to fill this spot.

Agreed. Local MI talent isn't really that deep to be competing with the other MI schools.

Per The Athletic: Drake: Head coach Rick Fox has resigned. He went 33-22 in five years as head coach.

Fox was CC's OL coach at Drake.

While he wasn't in charge of the O Line at Drake, here's the team's offensive stats this year:

258 yards passing per game
87.7 yards rushing per game
3.55 sacks allowed per game
TOP: 28 mins

Not the greatest numbers
