LOL!

Big 10 Commish Jim Delany on whether he regrets adding Maryland and Rutgers. “I wouldn’t put Maryland and Rutgers in the same [competitive] category.” He cites Maryland’s 30 conference championships in five different sports.

Delany Translated: Maryland has been fine. Rutgers is the unmitigated dumpster fire everyone told me it would be at the time.

Well, you're stuck with 'em Jimmy. Hope you're happy.

I'm sure behind closed doors the ACC feels the same way about school 6.

For a good laugh, here are the highlights of our parting gift to Rutgers:

Man what I would have given to have that group of WR's on our team this year. We definitely don't lose to Temple and would have given UCF much more of a game.

Rutgers being accepted into the Big 10 is a perfect example of "timing is everything". They were announced as a candidate in the 2012 season where they were ranked #15 in the polls and they had just came off a decent run of success with Schiano.

Just like if expansion talk started up again right now, UCF would probably be first on everyone's list.

Yup - same thing happened with Louisville. Academics and integrity were not a problem since their basketball and football programs were strong and their fan support was strong. And their facilities were top notch.

rutgirth will always be a headscrather. they'll admit it. how exactly does rutgers bring the new yawk market? their alumni are dwarfed by a host of transcontinentals. if that was the case, invite 'cuse. we'd prolly be in the acc by now and rutgirth gets what they earned

Rotgers has won ten or more twice, 9 games 6 times. What did they expect, what did they reasonably expect?

Then look at the basketball.

Big 10 Network... 60 million subscribers.

Big 10 schools earning north of $50M per year each

It doesn't matter how many games Rutgers might win. as long as the network is included in the cable package.

That was enjoyable. Totally forgot about the onside kick late 1st quarter.

1/3 of that 60 million number almost vanished when Comcast almost pulled the plug on the BTN.
