He was our highest rated recruit after Boyce got his release. We could sure use another big body down low but I guess he's just not ready.
Bummer.

Pearson didn't play either.
Just watching him in warm-ups and the limited play time, he got a nice jump shot. Form is excellent.
I really like Lovan but he took two 3-pointers last night, only one clanked the rim, the other just caught backboard.
I hope that doesn't continue. like a turnover.

He was very out of shape in early practice. But along with Butler represent a Beastly post presence and Makhtar's improvement is impressive. I wonder if they are thinking redshirt with Sullivan taking up , rightfully so, a lot of minutes.

He looked fine in those November games in short stretches.
FYI, Butler almost had to be carried off the court a couple of times last night he was so winded.
He could hardly get back to the bench when they subbed him out.

I would assume so, otherwise it is incredibly stupid to not get him some playing time in meaningless games.

Let him play his way into shape this year. The future is now for Ehsan. You need to start winning meaningful games or you wont be around long enough to make reshirting players worth it. We are struggling to beat North Alabama for God's sake.

Stop it, we didn't struggle to beat North Alabam. North Alabama played well and on any given night you can get beat...look there's a team down 59 that is loaded with 4 and 5 star one and done players...they were beaten by Ga State. We are going to lose winnable games and win games we should have lost. This team need our support more than any in recent memory...that what we as fans need to do...let's do our part. Show up, win or lose.

in a week no one will remember what the score was. All that will be remembered is a win or a loss.

UAB fans we are 6-2 not 2-6 yet some complain, its their right and I support you stating your opinions, but remember words have consequences, they can birth or kill...please be careful when speaking to poorly of young men trying to win for UAB, family and team.

We'll win our share of games, but most will be "ugly" wins. We don't have a forceful offensive team. We'll win by doing the little things, hitting FTs, rebounding, playing tough defense, and, generally outworking the opposition. The team probably realizes this and are, hopefully, prepared for it. We are probably a couple of shooters from being a top-level CUSA team...

One time we slowed the game down so much we would be lucky to have 25 at the half. (Some) This crowd would have wanted to fire Gene Bartow.
I actually like the potential of this group and am enjoying watching them slowly get better. I expect our defense to give us a chance on the road this week. Let's see what happens. We need to get Bertain going as soon as he adjusts to the speed of the game. He could be some much needed shooting help but I don't expect him to contribute much until the second half of the season.
I think the oddest part about this year's squad is that Ehsan hasn't worked towards doing this while the team gets better offensively. I thought the team would be trying to keep it closer to 50 points per game, rather than the 65ppg they're currently giving up (though that does rank 52nd in the country according to ESPN).

Honestly I don't know what to think of this team at the moment. The D looks vastly improved from last season, but other than that...

With a 5 minute look at our all time scoring and defensive numbers, all I can really glean is : Score more than you give up and you'll have a wining season. The scoring higher or lower doesn't really matter. The difference is what matters.

Same here, it’s very tough to gauge at this point. Things definitely look better than i thought they would going into the season.
