I'm sure we will give it our best shot & the media will continue to ignore the wrong doings going on with that program.

Where have you been? Auburn has been crushed by the media since it hired Pearl. The amount of nonfactual reporting done regarding the FBI thing was insane. Reporters clearly didn't read the FBI report and just ran with it that the whole program is dirty. It drives me crazy how much this board is only focused on Auburn being a dirty program instead of working on making their own team better.

You are welcome to go to an Auburn board and post constantly about UaB

What? The media has done everything but give him hand jobs under the table. Pear is as dirty as a sewer. I hope they eventually get the death penalty.
I do my part and show up to games and donate. I also recruit for rebounders.

We know all that but the general public (and the not-so-diehard UAB fans) doesn't and if they did they probably wouldn't care. All they will see is UAB losing three straight to Auburn (if that happens).

Beating AU is definitely a stretch. I would settle for a competitive game at this point. I do think Memphis is beatable. I know players love him but can Penny actually coach?

Memphis is going to be tough to beat in a packed Fedex forum where tiger fans are actually supporting their team, making it a tough road environment.

And Hardaway seems to be a good coach. His success will be based more on recruitment of talent though over X’s and O’s

We will probably lose both games, but I think the better chance for victory comes at home in Birmingham than in Memphis

Maybe a better chance, but that "home" game will probably have 3,000 UAB fans and 10,000 Auburn fans.

Interesting how much of a difference we see in this. Every article I clicked on during the FBI/Person ordeal seemed to talk about how doomed Auburn was without even bothering to read the report of what actually happened. I don't expect people here to like Auburn, but I do think it's interesting how much hate they get on this forum.

Then don't? I can't remember the last pro-Auburn thing posted on here. I'm sure I've said things, but I do try to keep it minimal.

The last defense of every fan desperate to undo reality: “you don’t understand what really happened.” Penn State’s Joepologists say the exact same thing, that the bad man went to prison and it has nothing to do with the football program and if you think it does then you just don’t understand. Carolina fans say it’s just an academic scandal and has nothing to do with the basketball program and if you think it does then you just don’t understand. Baylor . . . Miami . . . over and over, the same chorus sounds. It was just Art Briles, it was just Nathan Shapiro, they’re gone now so it’s all good.

Chuck Person will face trial in February for serious felonies that can easily send him to federal prison. Players he purchased continue to suit up for Auburn University. The technical term for this is “beneficiary of a criminal enterprise,” and it is a felony in itself. Bruce Pearl, a man already placed under show-cause order in the past for totally unrelated cheating, continues to benefit from a criminal enterprise – and it was his job to know how Person recruited those players. If he knew, if he did not know, either way he is unfit to lead. That Auburn University continues to employ him speaks in loud volume for the true values of the Auburn Creed.

Auburn University is benefitting from criminal activity, part of a long history of such.

UAB has never been sanctioned by the NCAA in any sport.

I don’t care how many games Ehsan loses: I’m damned glad that my degree is clean.

I had a big rant about all the cheating that I personally know "down home" but deleted it as I don't want to make this situation worse.

Damn, wasn't this about the UNA game?

Let’s get back on topic then: I think Scootie’s tweet was referencing that after four tough road games, he was ready to get back home to the friendly confines of Bartow Arena. 03-lol
