Our stadium is designed to expand to 40,000 seats without major demolition. The upper decks allow for additional seating to be added in 2 2500 seat increments and then 2 10,000 seat increments. We can also convert the current pressbox into suits and build another set of suits on the away side, plus add a pressbox tower.

Full 40K seats with suits only on the home side:

I always wondered how big the smaller upper decks were in that rendering. Adding 5000 seats would probably be suffient as long as we are in cusa, which may be forever. We can always add some temp seats for a couple thousand more in the endzone if the need arises.

We need to be at at least 25K minimum. I'd rather have it at 30K, which would most likely mean adding at least one whole upper deck.

I've always liked this one:

Yep thats a badass view of the stadiums potential. Even if we never do the 40k arrangement id love to see us do thr arches around that end of the stadium.

That's cool you can dig down for the bottom bowl section. That probably saved a lot of money.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

Not as much as we had hoped. Had to spend some extra money blasting some massive boulders that the core samples they took earlier didn't indicate were there.

USM fans, serious question, I am not trying to imply anything here or start a ruckus.

Our new coach Healy just hired your cornerback coach, Eddie Hicks, to be our cornerback coach. Hicks is a USM alum and former player. Hicks was on Healy's staff at Austin Peay before he went to USM, so there is a connection, but is that trumping going home? So far Healy's staff is mostly people he has coached with before, so I can see his interest in adding Hicks, but why is Hicks packing the U-Haul to come here?

My guess is money. We have a larger coaching budget I presume considering usm's coach is paid the least in the conference. Could also be job security. Healys seat is ice cold. I dont know that usm's coach has a very warm seat but another bowl free season and he could start making changes in an attempt to keep his own seat cool.
