Throw TCU into that category as well. Lost 6 of their last 7. Can you imagine losing 6 of 7 and still being in the discussion? Unbelievable!

Getting rid of the last ten games consideration it's maybe the dumbest thing the NCAA has done to the selection process.

Everything the NCAA does regarding the selection process is done to favor the P5 schools. Bless their hearts, the poor things.

As an item on the team sheet, perhaps, but most things have a recency bias (you remember what you last saw more vividly). Which doesn't explain why some slumping teams still get in, but I guess credit that to, in no particular order, big-school bias, overcompensation and emphasis on other parts of the resume. I'm sure they still talk about slumpers and streakers in the room.

I think you are overthinking it. The committee, like most of academia, is more interested in being "fair" and "defensible" than getting it right, thus they obsess over "body of work" and "resume" instead of trying to figure out who the best teams are at the time of selection. Considering last 10 works counter to the idea of body of work/resume being the most fair way to choose teams.

I saw that too, but we are a Quad 2 loss for them. They have 2 Quad 3 losses to College of Charleston and Rhode Island. Kind if irritating to be listed as a bad loss when we are 23-7 and regular season conference champs.
