Was the last time it felt like we were playing real D1 football. A great game, a great atmosphere, only excitement on the horizon. It was supposed to be the start of our campaign as Boise of the South. The next day would be the beginning of our downfall.

I was pretty young at the time, but I remember being uneasy about the future of USM at the time, even after that win. At that point, UH, SMU, and UCF had already announced they were leaving. We knew some form of SUNWACUSA was on the way. Ended up being even worse than expected with ECU, Memphis, Tulane, and Tulsa all bolting in the next 12-15 months.

As I stated before, 7 years ago on the calendar, 7 million years ago in football years

That defense was pretty good, had jamie collins and a host of other really good players.
According the the UNC boards, one the reasons LFED was let go was how lousy his defenses were the last 2 years.
You would think he would have learned from the Bra_for_ debacle.
