Good game Eagles! I knew of Creighton and EMU's recent success but only just learned about all of the close losses over the past few years. As an Atlanta sports fan, I completely empathize and feel a little bad that we contributed to that... a little. This was an important victory for Georgia Southern and restoring the program to its rightful place. It wouldn't have the significance that it does if EMU wasn't as good as they are. I'm sure we'll cross paths again soon! GATA and win the MAC.

Oh man. I can never forget Matt Ryan's debut against the Lions.

Can we do this at the MB Stadium next time?

Saturday was a fun game. I think in so many ways EMU and GSU are distorted mirror images of each other. Solid defense, smart play (dont turn the ball over, dont get penalties) you guys are just better at passing the ball than we are. Your guys showed alot of guts climbing back into the game and taking the lead at the end. Thank goodness (for us anyway) for Shai Werts and that 4th down scramble, and of course the golden leg of Bass.

Definitely one of those games where you hate that either team has to lose. I think you guys should hold your heads high and I imagine you have plenty to look forward to in the next few seasons. Good luck next year northern Eagle friends!

Georgia Southern and Eastern Michigan are striking similar schools. Same size. Same academics. Same mascot. Even the history is similar. They were a Normal School turned College turned University just like us. Easily my new favorite MAC school to root for.

Us directionals stick together.

Better to be a directional than say Testicular State (AKA Ball State).

Yes, the first pass! One of the good days.

As long as Atlanta's one true sports team, Atlanta United, is not playing that night, I don't see why not!

You know Ramy GSC/GSU posters always had a lot of fun posting to other teams, in 1aa ,on there boards, and them posting on http://www.gsufans.com the (TalonTalk board.) I don't think many respect GSU very much any more after we moved from FCS. The P5 teams really don't like GSU.

Thanks for putting up with the Fact & Trash. Your the best G5 team that we have talked to on a board.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could roll with the punches & fire back. Please come visit us at some time!

Thanks, y'all. What a game. I'm just now able to get on here and take this in. That hurt so bad. I hope we see eachother real soon.

When 2 teams do well enough to make a Bowl, slug it out for 4 long ones and one team pulls it out in the very end the matchup was a good one and it was Special!

Georgia Southern Collage became Georgia Southern University. GSC is noted for playing for 8 FCS National Championships & winning 6.
