I've never used the public transportation (neither has anyone else in Fforida, for that matter). I'm thinking of getting a hotel for after the game in case I've had a little too much if we win (or way too much if we lose).

Any word on the alumni tailgate yet?
Good idea. 2 of us are driving from Miami to Boca and playing golf there on Tuesday morning-afternoon. Will stay at Boca hotel on Tuesday night and drive back to Miami on Wednesday. Should be a great trip.
Trying to purchase tix from NIU website and the location shows GA 36-37, but I am not able to view the map. The map on the Boca Raton site doesn't show GA36-37. Where are the NIU tix located?

GA 36-37 just means general admission. NIU will let you know the actual location once they obtain all orders and conduct the allocation.

Thanks. Does it benefit NIU to buy from them?

SpaceX also has a launch scheduled for that morning, KSC is only about 2 hours north of Boca. Could be another once in a lifetime experience.

Don't know where you are playing golf, but Osprey Point out in West Boca is a very good public course. About $56 in the morning and $10 less in the afternoon.

I'd like to buy from NIU but I like the idea of picking the actual seats. There are numerous ticket sites where you pick the seat. Has the NIU seating and/or NIU bench location been determined yet?

HuskieBob and Sarasota Huskie have reached out and we're going to get a Florida seating section going. At our age it better be near the johns.

Good chance I'm making the trip down from Jax. Can bring tailgating supplies down too if needed.

Try AirBnB. Places nearby for under $100/night.

Look in Delray Beach. A very short 10 minutes from Boca and it's more affordable. Residence Inn and Marriott right near the water. I believe the Marrriot was around 250 give or take

Courtyard by Marriott in Boca Raton. $164 on hotels.com. We got it for less using marriott points.

RE: Boca Raton Bowl Worth the trip?
I went to Boca in 2014, had a great time. Probably the best bowl destination the MAC has. South Florida, 80 degree temps, and the beach. December 18 is actually great timing ... doesn’t conflict with holiday stuff on Dec 15 and 22-24.

I would love to go but have several trips already planned for the winter. And several of the people I would normally go with have put FRC over supporting their alma mater, jumped off the bandwagon, got hit in the a$$ by the door on the way out, and thus won’t be going.

Plenty of hotels around $100-$150 at Ft Lauderdale beach walkable (3-4 blocks) to the bars by Los Olas Blvd and A1A. Beach is across the street. Probably 20 miles south of Boca. That’s where I stayed in 2014.
