So explain the other 5 beat downs Little 6 has taken past 3 bowl seasons? 6-1 record vs little 5 is more than Marshall dominating... WKU beat down your 3rd place team and 4th place team not too long ago...

Tsk Tsk.

Power 6 leagues should do better than 3-7 against the "G4" the last 3 bowl seasons.

I don't know? It's really not that relevant. Bowls are bowls. Let's go look at what the regular season records are. Little different huh?

My point was simple - USF wasn't good. If you scroll to the first tdamn page of this thread, you'll see me saying this.

You're also ignoring the fact that 3 out of the past 4 years, the best AAC team is not playing G4 schools. They're playing in NY6 bowl games. Houston 2015, UCF 2017, UCF 2018. The record would be different if those teams were playing G4 teams, as your champion always does.

Oh oh oh but but but but......, the AAC tream lost their option QB, lost their head coach, didn’t care about playing a “G4”

Dude we have heard the lame excuses all before after every AAC bowl lost including the AAC west champs

Aside: Why buy into the ESPN-driven marketing term "power 5" in the first place? Why buy into the inherent in-your-face condescension? It's ridiculous, really, to embrace the term. Similarly, "group of 5" just sounds like we're the generic brand of something.

Instead, why not use the term that their own ADs use when they get together, ie, autonomous conferences and non-autonomous conferences... still descriptive, maybe a couple more syllables, and doesn't affirm the premise that all of us...all of us... are inferior.

And if the syllables throw you off, just auto and non-auto.

Pet peeve-o-mine that it's been force-fed to us until many gave-in and drink from that tap w/o any sour taste.

OK, yeah Jamaal was 5'11 189 while at Texas. And mainly played at 190-195 in KC.

Speaking of players build, I bought some cards at a garage sale and there were 6’0 205 defensive ends playing in the NFL in the 1960’s. Several 5’11 185 playing at multiple positions. No comparison to the physical development of players now a days

I was thinking about that the other day when Jimmy Johnson was standing there beside the others on the Fox pre-game.... that's *one-time Arkansas defensive tackle* Jimmy Johnson.... hehe.... that same position that Howie Long played, right?

The Dallas Cowboys' first QB stood 5'7"

I didn't play football but at 6'0", 180, a lot of girls thought I did.

Shouldn’t a two year undefeated “power” champion be in the CFP?

RE: Marshall SPANKS USF
Personally, don't care about the whole AAC vs. C-USA thing, I'm happy with our current conference and enjoyed our time in the last - it's more important that my team succeed whatever conference we're in. This was, however, a must watch game from a UCF fan's perspective, our former conference rival (MAC and C-USA) vs. our primary hated in-state rival - most of us were rooting for Marshall in this game despite any conference rivalries. And yes, I still stop by the C-USA board from time to time because I still have interest in this conference and the teams we've played over the years. Also, there have been some great threads on here. COGSCOGSCOGS

Nice Hyperbole. We aren't asking to win it every year or every other year. But I think more than once in ten years is not too much to ask. And I think winning the division more than twice in 10 years is not too much to ask.

So you hope if we change coaches that the Herd only wins 2-3 games a year. Nice to know your spite completely outweighs your desire to see Marshall succeed against anyone except those on the bottom 20 list of FBS football. Position noted.

PS we already have a 3 win season with Doc. He's done that as often as he's won the conference. Suck on that statistic.
BTW, I was referring to Snyder when mentioning 3, 4, 5 win seasons, alot of herd fans have forgotten about that crap. Doc goes 5-7, 7-6, 5-7, 10-3, 14-1, 10-3, 3-9, 8-5, and this year with a chance for 9 wins. Numbers don't matter though, can him, get another Snyder, that's exactly what would happen.

Snyder would mop the floor with Doc's record against the same competition. Snyder coached against basically the AAC and much tougher P5 OOC. Snyder had sanctions to deal with the first few years of his career here, rebuilding us to 85 scholarships. Neither one knows how to coach but at least Snyder had been a coordinator. Other than Cato's junior and senior year we've been mediocre against the bottom of FBS football and lost to anyone better than that unless it was in a meaningless bowl. Doc is a fraud.

You are Drunk now go back to bed. THANK GOD YOU HAVE NO POWER AT MARSHALL. We would be shutting down athletics right about now if you did.

And if you don't like it go root for the Ugly Blew and Piss Yeller.... Or better yet root for the team across the river in Morehead State (A team that has won 38 games in the last 10 years with 1 winning season at 7-4).

I don't drink, thanks. Enjoy your winning seasons against the worst teams in FBS and a bowl win against nobody every year. I want conference championships and neither Snyder nor Doc can consistently provide them. A winning season isn't enough at this level and that's not even guaranteed with this staff. Now, watch your mouth you half-brained psycho.

PS Morehead is on the same side of "the river" we are, dumb***, unless you meant the Big Sandy which is more like a creek.

RE: Marshall SPANKS USF in the Big Bad Boys Bojangles Mowing Mowers Gaspergorrilla Bowl
1. Big Sandy is fed by two rivers, the Tug and the Levisa. If that's "more like a creek," someone should tell the companies lining the shore from Louisa to Virginia Point.

2. You know that scene in Christmas Story where the one kid skips double-dog dare, and goes to triple-dog dare, and all their classmates are taken aback by the display of chutzpah?

I've always thought we need to have some scorecard to know this stuff... like, if dumb*** is worth more insult points than telling someone they're drunk (?)... or, if half-brained psycho is worth more insult points than telling someone to go to root for USPaM (?)... so us adults can score accordingly and know which kid wins these insult contests.

Actually, the Tug’s name is also called the Tug Fork of the Big Sandy and Levisa is also called the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy (indicating that both are the Big Sandy and identified as a right and left branch.

The current rating system doesn’t take online views into the equation. It’s beyond outdated.

I watched the entire broadcast on my ESPN app.

USF suspended the 11 players before the game started. And they were already not playing well. With 1/8 of their team suspended I would have been shocked if they won.
