While I respect the difficulty of the Drum Corp International (DCI) style WMU, and most collegiate marching bands use, it just is not as entertaining. Still fun to watch, but I like the old school stuff better.

Bring those knees up! March, don't stride!

And if you can't march with an instrument, it does not belong on the field (no tympani, chimes, or xylophones). Too many colleges have striding concert bands and not marching football bands.

What he said.

Oh and the band killed it.

The OHIO band made the trip because it was a "bus trip" and they left immediately following the game. Also, Ohio only sent a "pep band" to Idaho and the potato bowl and last year sent no band for the bahamas bowl game. It appears WMU is in line with OHIO's philosophy of sending the band, or as much of it, when the costs are reasonable

The band meltdowns are much ado about nothing. We are in line with other G5 programs.

If you're in the stadium. Sure it's cool to have the band. If watching on TV, doesn't do anything for me.
