On the first MT touchdown watch the MT right guard. He blocks the only UAB defender with a chance to make tackle. He hooks his head with left arm and spins him to the ground in a headlock.
The commentator on CBS Sports said it was a great block. Is that legal?
Just wanted to point this out since MT folks seemed upset later on with officials.

I think you mean the right tackle.
Legal? No.
Would that often get called as a penalty? Also no

I meant right tackle. The MT player was in perfect position to make a legal block and very unnecessary. It occurred right next to ball so it was easy to spot. I have no problem with the no call. But only if the referees are going to ignore holding all day long. It was 4th and 4.
