3 straight student section sell-outs. Pretty good.

Obviously, the next few home games will have zero students, as they'll be on break, but I hope we can keep it rolling when the Spring semester fires back up.

While the student section was above average, it definitely was not a sellout (either that or a sizable chunk that picked up tix didn't go to the game). In fact, I left my assigned seats with the kids and moved to the student section because it was open just a few rows behind the DJ. My son likes to sit there.

They reported that all student tickets were claimed for the third straight game. I assume some who claimed tickets decided studying for finals was better for them.

Yeah, saw the sign at the box office that the student section was sold out and was a little surprised it was only about 60% full. I can see some not showing, but that was a lot of no-shows. Perhaps they failed to take down the sign from the other night? That said, compared to the last 5 years or so, it was a pretty good showing for a game that wouldn't be considered marquee. A step in the right direction, but still a ways to go.

I don't disagree. But sell outs aren't based on filled seats. And the only reason I said it was sold out is because ODU said the student section was sold out (for the third straight game).

Regardless of how you feel about them calling it a sell out, it's a good sign since it's been a long time since students felt the need to claim tickets ahead of time.

Also, when there are a ton of open seats in the rest of the stadium, many move to better seats.

RE: BASKETBALL: What is acceptable?
Getting to the conference championship game 2 of the last 4 years is a huge accomplishment in todays' mid-major scenario. Every fan base thinks their school has some special right to the Dance. We lost by 2 in our other trip to the Finals. It is our time to go dancing now.

BASKETBALL: What is acceptable?
I'm still NCAAT or bust. Neither our seed number nor how close we fall short really matter to me anymore. Not after this long.

Yep. It's been too long between dances. We are at the door now and we need to bust into the ballroom.

Do you think we will be favored against WKU?

I would be surprised if we were underdogs. We'll probably be -1

We did beat them twice. I'd say 1 point either way.

What is acceptable?

1) Physically toughest team that anyone will play all season

2) NCAAT or NIT in years when we earn it. If we don't, pack up and go home.

Regular Season Champs and Tournament Champs, going to the Big Dance.
Also - COY and POY and Tournament MVP. I would think that is pretty good. 04-cheers
