Four Finalists
From a reliable source, the four finalists to be the next CMU football head coach are:
- California OC Beau Baldwin
- Former Arizona head coach Mike Stoops
- Oklahoma co-OC/OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh
- Former USC OC Tee Martin

Someone please give me an honest answer why Annese isn't a finalist for the job? What did this guy do? And I actually prefer Baldwin to Annese, but it just doesn't make sense. He must be a real POS, but it doesn't seem to bother Ferris. You know why? Because they are WINNING!

Nice list. None of them are “Oh crap, we must not have been able to get anyone else” guys.

Two issues I've heard with Annese: (don't know how accurate)
1. Brings in players of questionable character;
2. First time interviewed referred to ADs as useless cheerleaders (supposedly didn't win him any honor points).

He said that in an interview with CMU? If so, what a dummy.

Ask yourself this question. Who among the four can best change the program and reignite campus? Bobby Stoops could certainly do that, but as far as the four candidates listed above, IMHO, Beau Baldwin is the clear choice.
He has 10 years of successful head coaching experience and now has spent the last two years as OC of a P5 program. Baldwin could also bring his former Central Washington teammate Jon Kitna with him to be his OC/QBs coach.
I expect the new coach to be introduced NLT Monday.

No, it wasn't during the interview. Supposedly said to a member of the press (before or after the interview). Kelly had similar views, but was more discreet. But, you're right, not too smart. Again, this is all speculative.

Well now you're just playing with my emotions. I wanted Baldwin to be hired back when Enos got the job. Hey, according to Twitter, Alford was in Phoenix yesterday. Jon Kitna is a high school coach in Phoenix. Perhaps he would keep Cory Hall on board since they have a west coast connection and Hall is the current recruiting coordinator.
I'm still of the opinion that it won't be Baldwin and that's he not even a candidate, but would be thrilled to be wrong.

Jim McElwain would be a home run hire.

I'm with you on that one. Really hoping we can wrap this search up sooner rather than later.

RE: Four Finalists
Appears Louisville might be after him now. If so forget bout it.
I say just get annese call it a day. Guy is a winner, unique style, bring his staff and players, and try to do damage control and save our recruits. Wots our rb recruit nichols is close to leaving also. We need a coach ASAP
