West Virginia seems to be pretty content to let Dana go. Have reportedly told him they won't up his contract.

I just do not understand these schools like WVU thinking they are going to do better than they currently are. Dana at least gives them a fighting shot and competitive team. Bring in a new coach and they are likely to fad into Big12 mediocrity...

Hell, many here thought Memphis could take Pitino from Louisville when Cal left.

WVU remembers some good moments. They played for the national title game in 1993 and were on the way to the BCS title game in 2007 until they dropped a turd the last game of the season.

Rich Rod had them rolling. Three straight top 10 AP poll finishes and went 33-5 in that time. Won the Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange Bowls over Georgia (38-35), Oklahoma (48-28), and Clemson (70-33).

If either happens, poor West Virginia. UWV should go after Luke Fickell, he’s worked and recruited in a neighboring state for years. 11-2 at Cincy this year.
