Hoops Recruiting
Does Western have interest or an offer out to Mattawan’s Nolan Foster? It appears that Toledo, CMU and Air Force have offered. 6’10” locals don’t pop up very often.

RE: Hoops Recruiting
Probably not.
Josh Davis & Seth Dugan are the only two departing seniors.
WMU has already signed two HS players for next year replacing those seniors.

One of the signed players is actually from down your way.
Chase Barrs is from Tampa

This is part of the news release from WMU:

Coach Hawkins on 2019 Recruiting Class in Early Signing Period:
"I am ecstatic about the 2019 recruiting class and we are not done with the year. I am excited about B. Artis-White and Chase Bars because not only are they outstanding players but they both are very good students. Each of them fit into our culture which is having happy kids that enjoy playing the game."

So according to Hawkins, there is more to come.

RE: Hoops Recruiting
We do need a BIG man. Both Davis and Dugan provide the rebounds needed and there will be a huge void when they depart.

With how often we have kids transfer away it would be worth it to over-sign I suppose.

RE: Hoops Recruiting
Anyone else noticing the quality of our recruits is way down since Davis, Moore, and Dugan's class? The only guy I can think of who was really coveted by other schools is Wilkins. Otherwise a lot of these guys have 0-3 D1 offers and those offers tend to be from pretty unimpressive schools. Davis had a Tulsa and Western Kentucky offer. Dugan had Xavier and Purdue. Been a while since we've landed anybody like that.

Recently signed Chase Barrs from Tampa Florida had 7-8 other known D1 offers.
Actually it appears Hawkins may actually agree with you as Coach Red Heffernan’s primary role is recruiting coordinator. Hawk has never assigned an assistant this role before.

Exactly. Hawkins has changed his recruiting target with Red in the fold. Also doesn't hurt to have a MSU alum on the bench.

Probably only current/recent Bronco to make the 247 list is Seth Dugan.
CBS owns 247 & 247 owns Scout. Enough said.
247 only cares about top 247 players.

I have no idea how the kid will turn out at WMU.

The person who wrote this saw him playing against some high level competition yesterday.

His team plays University School today (Vernon Carey/Duke Committ and Scottie Barnes...#2 ranked kid in 2020 class)

WMU will be oversigned 18'-19'. Pretty common today in D1 where average transfer rate is 3 players per season.
