Huskies are best when German is scoring at a moderate pace and Bradley is scoring also. Bradley is the catalyst.

By moderate you mean 20-24pts. They need 20 plus from German which he usually delivers but they need Bradley to be in the 17-18 scoring range which he averages but can do it night in night out

Monty hasn’t used any being young excuse. Honestly, I think he probably feels pretty good about his team going forward. I’m sure in his mind that if they can shore up their defense they can win the MAC.

Growing up in the 80s, parents would take me to about 1 NIU game a year, was a very casual fan of NIU growing up. Attended a few games first year of college in mid 90s and started to follow them more closely, but 2-10-96 was the game that took my casual fandom into an obsession. A nationally recognized UW-Green Bay team came to DeKalb on a cold Saturday night and 5300 people packed into Chick Evans for the game. It was as loud of an NIU game I have ever been at including a deafening N-I-U chant in a portion of the game NIU was trying to rally back. UWGB was that hurdle NIU could just not get past, much like the Packers and Bears. They owned the Huskies. Luckily UWGB got upset in the MCC tourney that year, which helped pave the way for NIU to the NCAA tourney bid. I know longer term fans speak of DePaul/Indiana games as what got them into it, but this was my Depaul game. I just wish so badly that NIU could get to a point of hosting a big game in the Convo because the number of new fans you draw with those games is so important. Not sure I would still be an NIU fan if not for that game that really drew me in.
That sad point is that there are several generations of NIU students that never experience what we did in the 70s-90s in a SRO environment at the Chick Evans Fieldhouse. We have lost those fans forever.

I miss the Verbal Abuse Section.

Who would have ever believed this was possible. NIU men’s basketball is the 6th best in the nation in field goal percentage. There are 347 D1 schools.
