There also was an OL from Hewitt who has attended our game on an official visit.
Was a 5 star player.

I know a long shot, but shoot for the moon.

Just saw this kid has a 4.04 GPA and a 30 ACT. Any chance we can put him on an academic full ride and save his football scholarship for someone else?

I'm not sure, but I think that internally, this kid can "save" the athletic department some money by using his grades as an academic scholarship, and athletics picks up the room and board. He will still count on the football scholarship numbers, and he won't know the difference himself since he will get a full ride either way. But still, it's good to have some smart kids in the program!

I bet he is a walk-on anyway. His other offer was Davidson College.
