They would be even more of an exhibition than they already are. Essentially the kickoff-weekend games. Teams would be earning spots based on last year's team. And as I and all UCF fans have been told all season, last year's team doesn't matter.

Sorry to bring this topic up again, but news out of Cincinnati today made me dredge this up and say "Funny how hypothetical meets reality".

It would be interesting to pair up each school for one non-conference game after spring-ball in a neutral site game, analyze each game to determine the Top-25 (and 10 or so near that) to precede the upcoming fall football season.

If the Megamall had actually happened, you could have had the DestiNY bowl.

Under the current system, they should try out a bowl at Tierra del Fuego, where it is currently summer.

Maybe they could even try out a bowl in Antarctica, assuming football isn’t considered a violation of the treaty against using military force in Antarctica.

That’s the only thing that might spice up these terrible December 20 bowl games and make me interested in watching them.

It would start and end with the Telekom Balkans Bowl in Beograd. I'm not sure Serbia could sustain any other bowls. May be a smaller G5 bowl game in Novi Sad or Nis.

Let's say that the football season was flipped to the other half of the year - it started in February and the regular season wrapped up late May. Under that most of the bowls would happen in June plus the '4th of July Six' major bowls, CFP, and other stragglers in July. How would the 39 bowls be different from now?
....

Bring on the Banff Bowl! 04-cheers

I doubt some of the smaller cities or duplicate city games in the south would have bowls over larger midwest and northeastern cities given the former's heat, I see the following going down:

Out:
Arizona
Armed Forces
Bahamas
Birmingham
Boca Raton
Camellia
Cure
Frisco
Independence
Mobile
New Mexico

In:
Cheese Bowl (Milwaukee)
Cincy Bowl (Cincinnati)
Gateway Bowl (St. Louis)
Great Lakes Bowl (Cleveland)

Hoosier Bowl (Indianapolis)
International Bowl (Toronto)
Mile High Bowl (Denver)
New England Bowl (Boston)
Philly Bowl (Philadelphia)
Steel Bowl (Pittsburgh)
Windy City Bowl (Soldier Field, Chicago)
Gotta love fan fiction. /Sarcasm

I mean who actually says, "You know hon, why go to The Bahamas and the beaches for summer vacation when we can take the kids to Cincinnati, Cleveland or St. Louis."
FOH!

And that's no disrespect to each city's nearby theme parks, but folks flock to sunny coastal areas, even in the summer, man.

I just want the Arctic Bowl in Barrow, Alaska on the blue field on the shores of the Arctic Ocean. Bowls are for tv now anyway. That’s all I ask.
