Yeah. I don't know what you're talking about. Southern Miss basketball definitely did not play today.

Southern Miss doesn't even have a team right now. We disbanded it after 2014 right?

NAIA has two divisions. Competitively, NAIA Division I is comparable to NCAA Division II - whenever schools change affiliation at those levels, they usually can do so without significant competitive impacts.

2nd loss to William Carey in the last 4 seasons. Ya'll need to stop scheduling this game.

To be honest, this loss doesn't even affect me. You just grow numb to it. Hopefully, this team is more like the team that beat SMU, than the team that lost to Carey. Unfortunately, I have a feeling which team it is like though.

We should just stop scheduling.......period........in everything except baseball. Turn the FB stadium into a soccer field and get a head start on everyone else.

I am to the point where I feel the same way.

Was I mad/disappointed that we lost? Yes.

Was I surprised? No.

A "ho-hum" culture has been created.

This one was at least closer.

USM trailed by 26 in the second half four years ago before making a late run.

I would say the quality is between D2 and D3. NAIA offers scholarships but, by and large, seems to be a bit below D2 quality. The top NAIA teams may be more comparable to top D2 teams but it isn’t as deep.

I’ve seen good D3 teams handle average NAIA teams pretty easily whereas that is almost unthinkable against D2 teams.
