Really surprised that we're thoroughly unprepared. That doesn't happen basically every time we play a good team or a team that has a unique style of play.

I respect Pera's commitment to playing a zone defense that gets shredded by every single team that we play. He might be one of the worst defensive coaches I've seen.

This is a really, really horrible effort. We look awful. 31-9 under-8.

It does make me laugh though that Rutgers only scored 4 points in a half. How does that happen.

This team lost at home to a middle of the pack CUSA team too.

I guess our plan is to just keep shooting 3s until we aren’t hitting 10% anymore. We’re going to have some really embarrassing losses this season.

This team does seem to have games where that will work. This isn’t one.

FTR, a 10-5 Rice run over three minutes (4:41 - 1:43) cut WSU's lead to 23 (45-22).

Shockers double up Owls in shooting percentage overall and from 3 pt range. At least the Owls stopped turning the ball over. Were at 10 halfway through the half and still at 10 at halftime. Owls did out shoot Witchita from the line, barely, 66.7% to 64.3%. Silver lining? Baby steps?
