Agreed...
Seems to be motivated... If he can get that motor in high gear consistently he could be very valuable.
I think he is a defensive pioneer. He is breaking new ground using the man bun thing to block the shooters vision of the basket.
Davenport is who he is. He looks good against smaller less talented teams. But doesn't do well against more physical teams.

Just got to keep shooting it. I think we need to pass the ball just to get the open shot.

Guess we don't have a lock-down defender.

I hate 1 on 1 basketball.. Hardly any plays or structured Offenses at all.. Getting to NBAish and has been this way for a long time now..

It works in high school and pros because... they don't play much defense.
In college it is not going to be successful unless you have elite talent who can single-handedly break down a good defense. Now, if we bring in top 10 players consistently, then we will have much more success. As it is, we can't.

Cougars can’t continue to shoot the 3 ball that well.
Trouble is, we probably won’t, either.

I agree. But this game we do seem to stop the guard dribble penetration better than our previous games.

Well penny is teaching a nbaish style to spread the floor. But I agree. Way to much 1 on 1. If you're going to do that then just let Harris launch it.
It works in the nba because offenses can read a defense. We aren't reading the defense.

Grizzlies offense is a lot more fun than simple 1vs1. So thankful for Robert Pera for hooking FedExForum up with cell service. Watching this on phone while at Grizz game is a dream come true.

Shot clock at 30 seconds now forces a lot more of the NBA style of play

Penny did say on the pre-game that we had too much "hero ball" happening.

How about Tyler Harris, though? We’re going to enjoy the hell out of him the next few years.

Not sexy things...
Alo defends and rebounds well
I politely disagree with the defense;gets beat badly off the dribble, probably what has disappointed me most. Does rebound well for a guard. In closing; don’t expect points from alo, but with this small a team, gotta get something.

Very little dribble penetration to stop compared to a normal game. Just let them shout uncontested 3s. Or the fly by after the shot is well in the air.

Yeah man his defense is a problem, IMO. He is too slow, gets beat, then runs behind his man swatting at the ball.

You can still have 1 on 1’s, but still pass the ball to create that one on one.

I'm enjoying the heck out of him now, lol. He's got NBA range 3 and I always feel confident when he shoots behing the arc.
