Ohio State beats Michigan again
Dear Friends,
To give us some comic relief I just felt we needed a thread like this.
Plus this once again shows how most of the sports writers at the Detroit papers always get it wrong in the end. Their constant praise of the Wolverines as the season goes on, when they beat up on the inferiors of their conference, always colors the reality of just how good U-M stands in relation to the really good teams in America.
My biggest laugh came when Don Brown their defensive guru was going to show how dominant they were going to be against Ohio State.
I know some of you on the Eagle's Nest support the Wolverines, and that is okay. I just feel sorry for you being led astray one more time.

All those Walmart Wolvies who attended, and turned their back on, our MAC schools... their tears taste delicious.

Does this cost the B1G a CFP slot and hence maybe the MAC a spot in the Quick Lane Bowl?

'Revenge tour' was always a mirage because Sparty, PSU, and Wisconsin all down this year.

Harbaugh & Brown thoroughly outcoached and out schemed. Even the most diehard Michigan fans realizing Harbaugh way more hype than substance.

Most embarrassing loss in the rivalries history?

This, along with Minnesota winning today, likely means the B1G fills all their bowl tie-ins, which I believe is 9.

Yep. I feel like that’s one thing all MAC fans can unite on. Nothing worse than seeing Michigan/MSU rags around campus and at our games. I’m sure the Ohio MAC schools feel the same with OSU.

Ken this is not a good year for the Big Ten. Wisconsin, Penn St. and MSU all really sucked this year in relation to the past. OSU and Michigan are not that good either. No Big Ten team deserves to be in the college playoff.

This brings up an issue with respect to northern teams vs the south. Southern teams are usually built on speed that depends on nice turf conditions in favorable weather. Northern teams, however, have to win their conference and must be constructed to win on poor weather turf. Hence northern teams are often bulkier and slower. Of course come playoff and bowl time, where is the game played? Mostly in great weather of course.

The NFL requires home games for the team with the best record and often a superfast nimble team from the south is obliterated in New England, Chicago or Pittsburgh in November or December. I think this explains why the southern teams win so many NCAA bowl games and yet do not do well in the NFL.

My anti Paul Finebaum rant is over.

Yeah, let’s mock a top 10 program because it lost to another top 10 program.

On the same day we get our asses handed to us by a bottom feeder on our home court.

Effing dumb.

Dear holybovine,
I could be wrong, but in my opinion, U-M should never have been a top ten program. In any case we have the right to mock U-M because the press in Detroit did nothing, but praise, praise, praise, all season long. Never questioning that maybe they weren't as good as their record. Even before the Ohio State game claims started to come out how Don Brown should easily win the defensive coordinator competition. You have the right to your opinion, but after that miserable showing against Ohio State, U-M deserves mocking.
