Don't forget Delaware was the #21 ranked team in FCS and had their starting QB. We didn't beat a nobody.

Rice (2-11) defeated Old Dominion today, 27-13, ending the Butterflies' schedule with a 4-8 record.

NC State defeated UNCheat in Chapel Hell, 34-28, in overtime today. Punches were thrown by both teams after NCSU won the game. Maybe the most fight all season by the Cheaters. Now, we'll see if the Cheaters want to eat Fedora's enormous buyout and make a change. UNCheat finishes their season 2-9 (and would've been 2-10 if a hurricane had not canceled their game with defending national champion and undefeated UCF).

TU is the one that surprised me. SB too, but to a somewhat lesser extent. Towson getting clobbered like that by a Duquesne squad where I really have no idea if I've spelled it correctly each time, thought the tiggers were tougher than that.

Poor TU. Bridesmaid once again. Maybe Ambrose can dream up another Md. St c-ship ring for them or something...

"Sagarin says" Towson and Stony Brook were supposed to win this week. Towson was a predicted blowout.

How could this happen? oh wait, the "computer" is wrong 25% of the time.

After a 6-1 start, TU lost 4 of their last 5. Got spanked by the Dukes 2 weeks in a row lol..

Yeah Towson is just an embarrassment. If you look deeper into stony brook game they dominated but gave the game away on turnovers. I don’t think anyone expected much from Elon.

Fedora was indeed fired today...

edit: my bad, hadn't seen the discussion on the sports junkies thread yet

Will be interesting to see who the Vegas odd makers pick as the top candidates to replace him.

I highly doubt they are eating over $10M in buyout to go with a chance on a D1AA head coach. I've read 3 articles over the last hour about potential replacements and none of them have mentioned Houston. The domino effect though could be something to keep an eye on. Let's just face it, this is something we'll have to follow each year as long as we keep achieving success. I think Houston's focus will be on Colgate this week.

Sounds great to me! I don't really get the idea of P5's thumbing their noses at FCS coaches, but hey, if it means we get to hang on to HCMH a little longer, I'll take it! 04-cheers

I don't think at this point we have anything to worry about other than UNC. And I don't think that's a possibility. At all. A couple years down the road, sure, if we haven't moved up I'm sure he'll be open to other P5 or American jobs in the Mid-Atlantic, but other than his dream job I think he's happy to keep his family stable and stick at JMU.

Delaware is terrible.

Their offense was terrible. Their D was actually pretty good, especially rush D, holding us to 93 yards for 2.0 ypc.

What does Montana have to do with Delaware being terrible? I am not trying to get anyone spun up. Delaware just wasn't that good all year, had no offense, and a quarterback with a partially torn ACL.
