I think this is wrong and unacceptable. I gave in and drove over to a lot much further away. I certainly did not want my car vandalized.
Next season, I would like the University(City) to, at least, change the policy on holding these spaces or if it is already a policy; How can we enforce or discourage it?
Any thoughts?
That’s pathetic. Not surprised in the least.
It's sad how many "adults" seem to have stopped aspects of their development in the 3rd grade.

RE: Memphis, We Have A Problem - Blue Lot Parking
We encountered the same problem and just decided to move over a few rows and find an open spot. No reason to have an argument over a parking spot. There were way too many open spots to argue over one. People saving spots or taking more spots than they pay for sucks but it isn't worth worrying about. FIDO. Forget it, drive on.

Our group puts a couple cones out for our later arrivals, but those are up before tiger walk typically. We've had a couple of babies being born the past 3 years, so not everyone can get there first thing when we do, and we don't want them to have to walk far with little kids in tow.
That being said, I hate you had that experience. I think the biggest issue is that there isn't anyone that goes around and checks for passes, particularly those groups that are tailgating in actual parking spots.

Then let's just kick their teeth in straight up on the Gridiron and shut them up. Send them a friendly reminder of 0-12 offering free beer.
I want to honor Milton, but they don't understand honor if that's how they're behaving.
Knaw em' up and spit them out Tigers!

Not sure how that situation translates all the way to “holding Memphis back” or why anyone would think thoughtless people at any event is unique to Memphis.
On the other hand, it’s not unreasonable for people to want to park together if they have passes for the spaces. Not worth escalating to a potential physical confrontation.

A buddy of my brother's (we sit on the 50) said he sat around the UCF fan section earlier in the season, and they were the most arrogant and obnoxious fans he's ever been around.

The cones are a problem. It’s supposed to be first come first serve. Everyone should write a letter (email) to the athletic department and let them know of your displeasure.

I don't tailgate but I understand people wanting to all park together to tailgate. Everyone does not arrive at the same time so putting cones out for a little while does not bother me. However, there should be a time - like 2 hours before kick off - where the cones must be removed for other cars.

I've seen people use cinder blocks and tarps to save spots. Some people are always going to be a-holes. If the University or City is going to charge for parking, they should have a couple of people out there for 7 games a year walking around before games, telling the a-holes how to behave.

Nothing you can do without altercation.
He was probably using one of them counterfeit parking passes too.

Smoking in the concourses is not permitted anyway. Only in the designated smoking areas, as it should be. I'm a smoker, but I try to be polite and stand downwind, even if I am in the DSA. I know how unpleasant it smells. Hell, I don't even like it. Powerful addiction.

i like to make a spectacle of sniffing butts when folks get up during the game.
Make it really obvious that I'm sniffing, really loud, then comment to others around me, "that ones got a nice smelling ass".
