Giles, explain yourself! :)

Disclaimer: no, I don't really believe Wood Selig is posting here with his username spelled backwards. But would be eternally funny if so. Like carrot level lore.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

I dont think anyone gave a **** about a meaningless game against a 1 win team in Twxas, FWIW. Rightly or wrongly; how do you expect any of us (fans) or them (players) to care? They probably just didnt want to get injured.

Apparently you are not familiar with the concept of personal pride.

I dont think its right but I dont think you are familiar with motivations of college athletes.

I accept the reality of poor play. We all have bad days. Those who are not willing to give their all are a waste of a scholarship and are an affront to the fan base.

You have to start with the head coach he just doesn’t know how to build a staff, game plan or recruit at the FBS level

This is correct and I truly do not understand how any more evidence is needed of this for some people.

We’re dropping millions and millions on a nice new car (although even that is debatable) and we’re letting an old Chinese lady drive it around.

Same goes for the Ted and Jeff Jones.

How much more evidence do you need that they are both small time coaches who’s teams will never reached the promised land under their stewardship???

RR, I typically don't agree with most you say. However, I agree with you 100% on your comments here. We all know Wood is the overall problem here. He picked JJ and even gave him a contract extension for very average performance and no NCAA visits. BW did an excellent job reestablishing our football program and we are all grateful. But, he is way over his head in FBS. Most losses in our 10 year history, second losing record in a row, all points to he is not the guy.
Until Wood retires or is let go, we should assume this mess will continue. I would reach out to the President with my thoughts, but I just don't think he is much better. He has shown me no indication he wants a nationally recognized athletic program in any of our sports. He has his hands full on the academic side of things, I would guess.
So, we will continue to be average or below for the foreseeable future until someone wakes up and has the vision of wanting to be great....
Ugh. I may not live to see it.... and that makes me very sad.

You cannot be serious....

Giles has had a bad CAREER of posting

Fixed that for you. Every new post he makes just further proves he doesn’t have a single solitary clue. Why anyone takes him remotely serious is totally beyond me.

His excuse making is enough to make me wonder whether he actually IS Wood Selig.

Wait a second.........Selig backwards........is Giles ha ha.....GO FIGURE.

BTW, I have not responded to Razor in years. I have had him blocked for at least 2-3. I still see this dude posting about me in quoted posts. This is incredible.

Giles has had a bad day of posting

Just pointing this out. I have been a sports bettor for 15-20 years. Advanced metrics and motivation are two of the best ways at finding games to bet on. We would all love if we brought it every single game, but there are games where teams just arent 100% in. Or vice versa like our motivations against ECU in the first game. I figured Liberty would come out balls to the wall in game 1 (but thought we should still win). I was wrong in the ECU game (they were favorite) because I thought we would still be high off our VT win and would not show up. Unfortunately, I was right in thinking we would have little motivation for Rice. That certainly doesn't make it right.
