Poll: Should Memphis throw the championship game for the betterment of the league?
Yes, the AAC teams need the millions of dollars of revenue and exposure, can't let the MWC get it
No, in the immortal words of herm Edwards, "you play to win the game" regardless of the consequences.
This question is so dumb it's not worthy of a response

Would you be in favor of Memphis throwing the game for the betterment of the league?
On the surface this is an idiotic question, but if you dig deeper, maybe it's not so dumb. Memphis almost won when UCF had MM, now they will be facing the backup. Granted the game will be in Orlando, but if Memphis wins, either Boise, Fresno or USU is getting the NY6 costing the AAC millions in lost revenue. Is there any chance whatsoever that Aresco has whispered this very thing to the Memphis staff and AD, and if so would you be ok with it?

It would obviously be better for the league if UCF wins, but Memphis is going to play their tails off and they should.

Yes, but the question is, would you be in favor of Memphis, let's say...not trying as hard as they could?

No need to throw games when you got cheating refs to do the dirty work.

No

UCF needs to be able to win without Milton. If we can’t beat Memphis, we shouldn’t play in the NY6 game.

Plus I would hate for a Hawaii in the 2008 Sugar Bowl situation

the CFP poll. It's either UCF or the MWC champ this year; no if's ands or buts about it.

I think UCF wins on their own merits against Memphis. The Knights defense has stepped up the last few weeks and they should be able to run and dink & dunk on the Tigers D.

Baloney.

UCF's way ahead of those chumps, win or lose.

You have to win your conference to get the NY6. I thought everyone knew that by now.

It is a dumb rule though. Either make it so the CFP participants have win their conference too or nix it altogether.

Depends on where they rank Memphis on this last ranking. If it's near the top 25 they'll have a chance to leapfrog the mwc. But if UCF can't beat Memphis than it might save them the embarrassment of getting blown out on the ny6 bowl.

So you actually believe that Aresco and the Memphis coaching and AD are going to risk prison on racketeering charges by purposely throwing a game?

I don't know who will win, but UCF should be favored. The Knights will play with a vengeance.

If your QB hadn't taken a fall, I doubt if the OP would even ask the question, the implication now being that Memphis is undeserving due to the injury with a good deal of sympathy for the Knights as a result.

If justice and fate demand a UCF victory it will pour down rain lol.

Memphis has 4 losses. They're not jumping the MWC champ.
