If two schools want to play each other, they will. If not they won't

The only thing preventing UT/A&M or Oklahoma/Nebraska, for example, is ego

Given the relative states of their football programs lately, I can see another reason why Nebraska wouldn't want to start up a new annual series with Oklahoma.

Some time ago, I looked up historic Big 8 rivalry week games and it was something like:

Oklahoma vs Nebraska
Colorado vs Kansas St.
Kansas vs Mizzou
Iowa St. vs OK St.

Fair point.

I don't believe UT or A&M want anything to do with each other either. They keep claiming their schedules are booked and at the same time they keep scheduling new games. I think UT is up to the 2030s now.
