Maybe 150 here. No students in student section yet (except for 4 cheerleaders).

Contestant at halftime made the layup, FT, 3 pointer and then the halfcourt shot at the buzzer.

GSU is 3-0 beating UNC Greensboro at home 70-63, at FAU 75-59, and FIU on the road 67-61.

Owls doing a much better job getting the ball inside and pushing the tempo.

Owls win easily 66 - 49, with the bench emptying by mid-way through the 4th quarter. Nice win, with balanced scoring. Still a little concerned with turnovers, but that's something that should improve over time.

Didn't see a RT from Karlgaard, but future opponent North Carolina seems to better than expected. They are 4-1 with wins over UCLA (83-49) and #17 South Florida (71-69).

As I said a week ago I really wasn't impressed by UCLA.

That said, the Rice women haven't looked sharp either. TSU got doubled up by Abilene Christian (81-39 I think?) today in the UTEP tournament.

Former Owls Lexie Ducat and Jazz Taylor both play for ACU.

Ducat appears to be one of their best players and Taylor plays a bit.

I think that TSU isn’t as good as they showed against us or as bad as they showed against ACU. No doubt the game against us was a targeted game for them. I sense the team was a bit tired after their 3 games away from home, but yesterday they seemed to have much more jump. The game as very similar to the UALR game, in both we got huge 1stH leads on hot shooting even with plenty of turnovers then coasted in the2ndH.
