3 hours of ESPN this morning and surprise surprise there was minimal to no coverage of any of the above. Tacit mention of the Grizz and all sympathies to the Spurs.
Time for the sports monopoly to fire half their staff. Opps already did that.
Friends we have got to support the local sports media! These national sports media brats and regional wanna-be lackeys don't give a damn about us.
Wiseman news have been all over ESPN
Unless you live in Memphis or care about the city of Memphis NO ONE cares about the Grizzlies. No stars.
Tiger football team isn't even ranked. Why would they give any airtime to an unranked team (see the Grizzlies comment)

Tough to blame ESPN when you lose by 20 to Ok State.

You had me until that last sentence. Almost zero local sports media are pro U of M. A few might be pro Grizz, but there is such a massive SEC bias that it's ridiculous. Not to mention, they are too focused on click bait stories and reporting.

RE: ESPN... do we even exist?
At the beginning of the Minny/BC basketball game tonight, ESPN announcers said one of the teams was really looking for a P6 win. They are trying to get public acceptance of their favored terminology (also possibly trying to influence current contract negotiations with American conference); this really ticks me off and I wish some decent company would come along and buy these knuckleheads.
There is really no basis for P6 that dates more than a few years of excellence by Nova and a couple of other teams. I realize the AAC hasn’t done its job but the Big East hasn’t earned that title either.

Big East is entirely a power league and it is not a question.

Break it down for me. Remember what league teams were in when they accomplished something or the AAC blows them them out of the water by any metric because Houston, Memphis, Cincy and UConn are historically top 20 programs. Wichita St, Tulsa and ztemple had good years.

My opinion of espn is not very good. I'm not a big fan of how sports leagues are being run. I see espn and similar channels as a form of "national media" for corrupt sports leagues. They spew their brand of what they want you to see and like every day in the different sports. It doesn't include a p6,g5, midmajor college team like memphis tigers. It doesn't include a small market nba team in memphis. At some point, you just need to realize it and turn it off. You are helping them continue their bs by watching and visiting their sites every day.
For me, i watch tigers and grizz games only and maybe future opponents and that's it. I don't watch any of the other stuff. As soon as the game is over, the channel is switched or the tv is turned off.
This right here. I only tune to ESPN to watch a game. The rest is simply ESPIN and I am not interested.

I think with Memphis getting Wiseman, Jefferies, Dandridge and hopefully more studs, I believe we will be on the National TV shows a lot next year. Mostly neutral sites but still showcased more than normal.
