Exclamation Army on a roll
Army, now (9-2), which just missed breaking into the AP Top 25 this week, has won seven in a row and 13 straight at Michie Stadium over two seasons after beating Colgate 28-14 this past weekend. The last time the Black Knights accomplished back-to-back unbeaten seasons at home was in the mid-1980s. Jeff Monken has done a great job there over the past few years...What are the odds he gets poached to a higher level job after the season?

Army is ranked 23rd in the AP poll. They aren’t ranked in the CFP poll. I do think there may be some teams that would be interested, Georgia Tech if they made a change, but until then I doubt any power school will want to commit to the triple option.

I agree with Andy Staples... I think Kansas should have looked hard at Monken or another triple option coach so they could become the Georgia Tech of the Big 12. They would have their choice of local recruits that perfectly fit that system and are being glossed over by Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc.

IMO there is room for one TTO team per P5 conference. I agree that Kansas would have been a great place to run it.

RE: Army on a roll
I honestly expected a lot more from Army than what I’ve seen so far this season. Two months ago, I didn’t believe Georgia State has the slightest chance to beat the Cadets. But it happened.

Now I’m wondering if Army can make it to a bowl game. 7-6 is a best-case scenario at this point.
