I almost included those, but just decided to draw the line somewhere. But it *is* rather amazing that so many SoCon teams are so high there - until one also realizes how weak inside some of those teams are. That's just the way it *normally* works - Wofford and Furman being obvious exceptions.

With Bo and Armus equaling VMI's rebound total themselves, ETSU wins board battle by 15. It's looking more and more likely Bucs will finish #1 rebound margin team in the country.

RE: Top Buc Rebounders
Now even *more* likely, unless we really fall apart, that we'll be end up the #1 rebound margin team in the country. Now up slightly over 2/game over UK, UNC, and Terps. Not surprisingly, we're also the #1 team for total rebounds.
Wofford 14th.

ETSU is 33rd (1st in SoCon) in assists/game, with 15.8. Wofford 48th.
Belmont leads the country with 19.7.

Somewhat surprisingly........we're 17th in overall FG percentage with 48.6%. Wofford is 11th with 49.0%. Samford 30th. Furman 44th.

Also somewhat surprisingly........we're 37th in scoring offense, with 79.7/game. Wofford 17th and Samford 50th.

Almost shockingly........we're 26th in scoring margin, at 11.4. Wofford is 3rd, at 17.1. Furman 20th; UNC-G 29th.

Wofford is 'only' second in 3-pt. percentage at 41.5%, behind Lehigh. Samford 11th.

Rodriguez 7th in rebounds/game, and 16th in double doubles, with 14. Rafferty has 13.

Kind of amazing we are so high in so many different statistical categories yet we are the 4th best team. Then the one category we are low in (FT%) seems to be killing us the most.

Bingo Bucster! Can’t agree more. All those stats such as rebound margin, etc don’t mean squat at end of day if you can’t make free throws or make a stop at end of game when it matters most. Like a physicist I used to work with used to say: There’s lies, then there’s damn lies, then there’s statistics.

I would trade a few Jeromy's rebounds for made FTs per game!

Every. single. time. I see this it's astounding. Incomprehensible, actually:

March 1, 1965: Basketball player Tommy Woods set the East Tennessee State University record of 38 rebounds against Middle Tennessee State. Tommy Woods was the first African-American to play at ETSU, having chosen the Bucs over 16 other scholarship offers.

RE: Top Buc Rebounders
ETSU still leads the nation in rebound margin, 1/4/game above the Tar Heels. So unless some sort of catastrophic dip occurs, we've got that 'title' in the bag.

Jeromy is 7th individually. Dotson 34th; Rafferty 41st.
Jeromy tied for 20th in double doubles with 14.

Bucs have moved up to 13th in overall FG percentage at 48.9. Wofford just behind with the same percentage. Furman 39th.

Bucs still 37th in scoring offense, with Wofford 15th. El Cid is 4th. Samford out of top 50 now.

Scoring-margin-wise, ETSU also edged up, to 25th in scoring margin, with Wofford now 4th and Furman up to 18th. UNC-G falls to 34th.

In the 3-pt. % category, Wofford still second, but Samford must have really fallen out of bed lately, as they're no longer in the top 50.
El Cid behind only Winthrop in 3-pt. attempts/game. Wofford 4th.

Magee leads the country in total made 3s. Somewhat surprisingly, Matt Frierson is 10th. Jordan Lyons is 34th, and our own Patrick Good is tied for 47th.

Nathan Hoover leads teammate Magee in 3-pt.%, 44.9 to 42.8 good for 14th and 29th, respectively. Brandon Austin of Samford is 39th with 41.4%. Who knew that?

Josh Sharkey is 5th in assists/game. (Ja Morant is an astonishing 2.5/game ahead of second place.) Stallworth tied for 17th.

RE: Top Buc Rebounders
Yikes...............now only .9/game ahead of the Tar Heels, and that's before being out-rebounded today.
Rodriguez 7th. Dotson 31st; Rafferty 40th.

RE: Top Buc Rebounders
Were overtaken by the Tar Heels, 10.5 to 10.1, as we 'tanked', and they kept it up. Disappointing, but obviously the overall ending of the season was that in general. Maybe it's fitting.....

Jeromy finished 8th individually. Dotson 30th; Rafferty 39th.

We finished 15th in FG percentage, at 48.6%. Wofford finished 11th, Furman 38th, and Samford 44th. Wofford's 41.4% from deep ended up being second in the country. I guess the SoCon has a few shooters....

ETSU finished 34th in scoring, with 79.6/game. El Cid was 4th; Wofford 12th.

Magee did win the 3-pters/game with 4.5. Bubba Parham tied for 6th; Frierson tied for 8th; Lyons 32nd.

Hoover ended up a very impressive 4th in 3-pt. percentage, with an audacious 48.9%. Magee 26th with a pathetic 41.9%. Brandon Austin 35th.

Josh Sharkey ended up 4th in assists/game, with 7.2, just behind Cassius Winston. Stallworth 17th.
