Yep! Solid 71-49 W over Charleston to open CAA play. The Hawks now sit at 8-4 (1-0).

4,511 were in attendance today for the "Seahawks Tomorrow" game, as kids from all over the region were bused in for the 11:30 AM contest.

It was a total team effort, as 4 Seahawks finished in double figures: Parker (17), Suggs (16), Smith (13) and Bell (12). The Hawks forced 21 Cougar turnovers.

Next up: W&M on the road next Friday for a 7 PM contest.

I liked that tall girl with the white headband. She looks like someone that can really help out this team. That was a beautiful hook shot on her post up late in the game plus she mixes it up in there and boards the ball.

Yep. Carol-Anne Obusek. She's a High Point transfer who just became eligible at the end of the Fall semester and has 3 years of eligibility remaining. I'm excited to see how she develops.

Good news. An 1130am game on a Friday is kinda odd though, or no?

They do that every year. Bringing in elementary schools for the game. That's why they had nearly 4500 in attendance.

Probably a lot of fun for them to play in front of a big crowd like that. Cool stuff.

January 18: Delaware at Hofstra at 11:30 A.M.
January 25: Charleston at Drexel and UNCW at Delaware at 12:00 P.M.
February 8: William & Mary at Charleston at 11:30 A.M.
February 15: Charleston at James Madison at 12:00 P.M.

RE: 2018-19 Women's Basketball Thread
Big road win for the Lady Hawks today over Elon. We overcame a 14-pt 3rd Quarter deficit to take down the 2x defending champs, 75-70.

We’re now 9-5 overall and 2-1 in CAA play.

The Lady Hawks now sit in 3rd place, and the 2 teams ahead of us are set to visit Trask this week.

Friday, Jan 18 at 7 PM we host 4-0 JMU. On Sunday at 2, we face 4-0 Towson.

Big, big week ahead!

Good to see the Woman's team getting on track now. Would love for all the posters from her former school who trashed her as a "garbage coach" would show their faces now.

Did any of them really say that? I thought they basically just said she didn't take them on deep NCAA Tournament runs and that was why she was let go.

Meanwhile, we've never been to the NCAA Tournament before, so it's a matter of one team's "trash" being another's treasure.

Look at my reputation. One gave me negative 2 for calling him out, and it says she's a "garbage coach"

Yikes. That's a garbage poster.

If a coach's biggest sin is not winning quite enough games, I would never call that coach "garbage". Even Benny Moss didn't earn that title here.

Can't remember if I did before, but since I don't have authority to remove "neg" reputation points, I just gave you a plus 3.

Also, don't worry too much about reputation points. They're like you're kids art you put on your refrigerator. Nobody else cares.

I have a -2 in mine because of a lame JMU poster who couldn't handle me defending Keatts when he wanted to call the UNCW program dirty because of everything that happened at Louisville under Pitino.

Well, enjoy your bonus 3 pts none the less, and my love and respect for all you bring to the table here as a non-alum fan. 04-cheers
