One other MAC gem, I think I saw 7 say on twitter that NIU has had shorter rest than it's opponent in each of it's last 5 games? Is that true? If so, idiotic.
Rest doesn't make the QB make better decisions or correct reads or better throws. Sounds like an excuse to me. Almost every starting MAC qb on our team and I wouldn't be surprised everyone of them has better numbers than Childers
lol, an excuse for what or for whom? None of what I said above had anything to do with Childers, why did you even bring it up? Moron.
Regardless of outcome/performance/whatever...if a conference can't figure out scheduling to give most teams equal rest on a regular basis, it's quite dumb. That's why I posted this in the 'MAC' thread, not some Childer's thread, bud.
You clearly wrote that 7 said niu had shorter rest than their opponent and would that not be an excuse for their bad performance the last two games... and I’m a moron? Bud
We get 3 extra days of rest than buffalo for the most important game of the year. We will see if it makes any difference. Bud

Where did I say it was an excuse? We were talking about the quality of the MAC...that's the point of this thread. Get it? Try really hard and read it again. Nothing was about the performance of the team or QB which you seemed to try and make it.
Sorry, but you're a moron on this one. I'm being a d*ck no doubt, but actually read it all again, no one was talking about this relating to performance. It's about the MAC doing a crappy job of coordinating a conference. Get it?

Now comes the payback. NIU finally gets more rest than opponent.

Ha! I suppose we should thank the MAC for that one.

RE: Message to MAC conference
To wrap this up my doubtful went to I'm going to the game after all. Not supporting the conference but I'm supporting our team in Detroit. Although I am getting the conference back by not spending the night in Detroit this year, so in fact the officiating did end up costing the city of Detroit something.

RE: Message to MAC conference
I think Huskietap alluded to this somewhat, but to me this game will just come down to who really wants to be the MAC champion. I think that is what gives many people fear about this game, is Carey's historical record of not having his team ready to play MACC or a bowl game. Time to buck the historical trend for once!

RE: Message to MAC conference
Does anyone know if the MAC officials overturned the targeting penalty? Even if it was, Corcoran wouldn’t be able to play right? Still can’t get over how terrible of a call that was.

I searched about 2 days ago and did not find anything that the penalty was overturned. I didn't look too hard since he couldn't play in the 1st half even if it was overturned. Yes; terrible call.

RE: Message to MAC conference
It was a terrible call but do you think the MAC wants to weigh in on a call that changed the outcome of the game. But hey, WMU got its 7th win for the MAC and is essentially guaranteed a bowl game.
