Aresco has a petition with the signatures of every G5 school president and G5 conference commissioner to deliver to the FTC complaining of anti-competitive practices and collusion of the selection committee.

MHver3 is posting nonsense here. Knowing academicians as we do, getting two G5 presidents to agree on something would be a challenge. Getting them all on board is unrealistic. Some would be advised by their general counsel's offices not to sign. Others won't find the original request until February in their email inbox or that imposing stack of papers on their desks.

The sheer volume of his postings suggests he will post any and all scenarios and will proclaim his expertise if he stumbles onto a viable one, as the blind squirrel celebrates finding that one tasty nut.

Not sure if UCF putting 2018 national champions on their press box at the football stadium helps their cause either.

Besides Ohio States win in 2014 which Maybe could be considered a pounding, the CFP national championship games have been great. Wouldn’t be surprised one bit to see Alabama lose or at least have a couple good games again this year.

Granted Alabama has dominated the championships but by no means has dominated the actual games.

2014 OSU 42 Oregon 20
2015 Alabama 45 Clemson 40
2016 Clemson 35 Alabama 31
2017 Alabama 23 Georgia 20 (OT)

Had no idea the NC games have been this close. I havent watched one since 2014, and likely won't until we get some fresh teams. The CFP has ruined a lot of my interest in College Football as a whole.

Screw UCF. If they want to be taken more seriously, then they need to schedule better non conference opponents. Maryland, GTech, Pitt and UNC don't cut it. (They scheduled those teams in 2017 and 2018.)

UCF is @ the point to where they are getting attention, but to really be taken seriously as a final 4 team, then they need to start beating top 10 teams in the regular season. Even the top teams in the power 5 conferences try to schedule a solid non conference opponent every year. UCF isn't going to command respect by beating up on a weaker conference, and weaker non conference opponents than the other major Power 5 programs.

If a MAC or Sunbelt team went undefeated, would I give them props? Sure, it's always tough to go undefeated. Would I consider them for the final 4? Nope. But what if they went undefeated and beat 2 top 10 non conference teams? Then that changes everything. If UCF beat a top 10 team in week 1, they probably move into the top 10 themselves by week 2, and now would be in the top 4, just like Notre Dame. What happens if UC beats UCLA nad tOSU next year. They immediately jump into the top 10.

I'm in an Eff U UCF mood. UC was able to schedule teams like Michigan and tOSU. Screw UCF's whinging. Challenge Michigan to drop Middle Tennessee State and play them in the Big House to start 2019. Challenge other top 10 programs for a game in 2020. If you can't get a big team, drop your 2 cupcake games, and get middle of the pack P5 teams.

Games are scheduled years in advance. UC does not have home and home with OSU or Michigan, they were essentially buy games. So UCF should take a buy game? Do you think schools are jumping to play them.

UCF should take any opportunity to play bigger teams, yes. Their schedule this year did them in. If UC somehow went unbeaten next year our schedule would give us a way better argument.

Phony? The Cartel 5 and their media partner espn created this mess. They created a rigged system. Most of the Cartel 5 claim phony NC’s from their past. What’s wrong with ucf taking a page out of their playbook?

What's wrong with it? They're doing it when a playoff system currently exists that right or wrong, they didn't participate in and win. I guess the Reds could also claim to be World Champs in the 1981 strike year because they had the overall best combined record but were kept out of the playoffs and it would be just as asinine.

A playoff system their conf is essentially precluded from playing in. It’s a rigged system and they are having fun with it. I find it interesting so many people get worked up over it. Especially, considering teams such as Pitt, Tenn, OK St, Bama, Mich St ... claim mythical titles as well.

By the way, I agree the Reds claiming themselves 81 World Series Champs would be asinine. However, this is Cincinnati, so nothing would surprise me.

If the P5 behaves as an exclusive club that refuses to share the wealth, then look for them to shed their weak sister schools into the G5 and the MAC in coming years....the P5 isn't going to increase member numbers...it's going to cut out the schools that don't bring in market share and split the pot among the remaining institutions.

You heard it here first.

THIS.

I'm truly surprised to hear the hate on our board towards what they're accomplishing. We stand to benefit should the stink they're raising (through the various publicity stunts) ever stick, and gain traction. As UC fans we'd feel just as aggrieved as they feel.

Personally, I love what they're doing, and am rooting for them to go ahead and win out. We couldn't beat them, so now I'm switching to conference pride mode. Heck, it's what they do down here in SEC country. Root for their respective teams, then root, S-E-C, during high profile OOC games.

I would run with it until they lose a game and the quietly work behind the scenes for post season reform.

I will never root for them. After the third time they hit our QB in the head on purpose, I decided I hate them.

If the playoff is expanded it needs to maintain major bowls.

Go to 8 teams. Invite 5 P5 Champs and best G5 and 2 at large.

But what will motivate P5 to do it? Only money can do it as the P5's could care less about UCF or some other G5 getting locked out.

Do to folks at Camargo care that some city kid has to learn golf at Avon Fields?

Hell no.

I still think under that scenario you almost have to word it as top six conference champs. Would be interesting if they placed the other four conference champs against each in bowl game.

They're not even the dirtiest school we've played this year. That distinction has to go to Navy.

Navy cut blocks, yes. But hitting people in the head on purpose? That’s not a Navy thing.

Go back and looked at the blocks on Perry Young, and Cortez Broughton and then tell them they weren't dirty. Tell it to Perry Young with his torn MCL and ACL.
