Signs of Improvement
Is it my imagination, or do I discern an improvement in team discipline by this year’s FB team?

One of my personal peeves with DB’s teams was their continued self-inflicted wounds due to untimely and repeated mental mistakes and costly penalties.

After a half century of watching the Owls, I have concluded that Rice must play smart and virtually error-free ball to win, and out-coach the opposition by being unpredictable. [Please no more smallish running back carries between the tackles on 1st or 2nd down against larger stacked D lines for example.]

Despite this year’s results, I see a glimmer of hope in how the team is playing and look forward to continued progress.

I would like to hear what other Owl fans think.

RE: Signs of Improvement
I'm unconvinced either way so far. But again, having taken over a grossly mismanaged team before, changes take time.

I still do like the fact that we dont start the half with a timeout. But we are the worst team in FBS, so sooner or later, material improvement is needed.
