Is this finally the year for an at-large for basketball?
I know typical biases don't allow committee to take more than 1 MAC team despite the conference consistently being in the top 9 to 13 of all 30 some conferences the past few years. But, is this the year, even these biases will be blown out of the water. Buffalo is already a national top 25 team, and you have teams like Ball State that can probably play with anyone in the country. The basement of the MAC is extremely high this year, probably the highest basement I can ever remember since following the MAC. I would have to think the MAC will get 2 teams in if Buffalo does not win the championship. If it doesn't happen this year, it is not ever going to happen. Conference will be in a what appears to be a fairly large rebuilding year next season.
