Well the person i heard from is a current student and knows several of the players. Catmom posted this earlier than i so she must have heard it somewhere too

To answer your question though... It wouldn't matter if it's untrue. Doing this the day of the volleyball championship was incredibly stupid... But it's not the first time our athletic department has shown its incompetence.

So you’d rather put this all off a day and delay moving on because of a volleyball tournament that a handful of people care about? Come on man.

Let's be real... Do you think these folks are going to accomplish ANYTHING in the three days between now and Thanksgiving?

What do you think we're moving on from? For the week going forward, nothing is going to get accomplished anyway. It's going to be same old same old, with the exception that Withers won't be there to direct it.

There is no real benefit to firing him with one week left in the season. It's not going to be the spark that causes the team to fire up and magically become bowl eligible. It's not going to advance the timeline of hiring a search firm. It accomplishes nothing, other than a feeble attempt by the AD to get people off his back.

Volleyball is the most consistent program we have and they have better attendance than Football.

I.... I just can't get excited about any coach with Teis in charge.

I know that whatever energy he brings to the program will be systematically destroyed by the AD.

I don't know anything about Texas St Coaching politics but if I were running things I'd probably take a hard look at K.C. Keeler down the road at Sam Houston.
