How ‘bout those Fighting Lovies?

It wasn’t quite Oklahoma 77 Texas A&M 0 but the massacre in Chambana handed Illinois its worst loss in its 128-year history, tying a 63-0 defeat to the Chicago Maroons in a 1906 B1G tilt - a month after the Sox took down the 116-36 Cubs for the WS 4 miles away.

What do the victors of these 2 63-0 exploits have in common? This was Kirk Ferentz’ 150th win - inducting him alongside Chicago’s Alonzo Stagg into the Big Ten’s 5-member 150-win club (Hayes, Schembechler, Paterno).

Illinois is improving slowly but surely. A glacier's pace but they should show more progress next year and could be bowl eligible. Easy non-conference schedule plus Rutgers. Beating Minnesota and perhaps Purdue or Northwestern would be enough.
