RE: USM 14 La Tech 17 HALF
I feel compelled to chime in here because Reggie & I hardly ever agree on anything: He’s right, Abraham is the drizzlin’ sh*ts throwing the ball downfield.

As a total package, and in terms of who’s going to help you the most & hurt you the least, Abraham vs. Whatley is a toss-up. Honestly, I’d rather watch Whatley run than Abraham throw a pass over 10 yards, and I’d damned sure rather watch Whatley throw than Abraham run.

It’s not that big a deal either way, though. Neither one’s a game-changer. Of course, neither has played FBS ball before, either, so both should be expected to get better. As much as I hate the idea of not having one QB be “the” guy, I think Hopson & Dawson are playing it correctly with the mix-and-match right now. Have the situation decide which one to go with and let them both get some experience and see who grows the most from it.

And that’s fair. I don’t see anyone claiming Abraham is the next Favre, Davis, or Mullens. But the hate train by RF is ridiculous.

And one turnover that nearly cost the game. Whatley passed for 100%, since that stat seems to be how you and others seem to define a QBs value. He was about 1/5 for passes thrown over 15 yards. Which makes him about 1/11 the last three games. Thats less than 10% completion percentage. Hes hell on the shovels and screens though. That minus -79 yards rushing yards, terrible td/ int ratio and numerous fumbles doesnt seem to bother you so not expecting you to care or comprehend how that 10% is troubling. Sure hope Whatley is given a legit shot next year bc i see him with more upside than Jack.

you do realize it was Dorbeck that knocked the ball out as Davenport was handing him his arse once again, eh?

doesn't really matter...hes gotta hang on to the damn ball.

hate train? i just feel compelled to respond when idiots on this board jizz themselves over his 80% completion percentage, as if that is the only thing that matters. these thick headed morons can't see the big picture. this started when i said Griggs was the best QB on the team yet these folks went on and on about Jacks completion %. what a joke. these same dumb mother ******* would probably STILL take Jack's 80% and 7 fumbles and 10 tds/10 ints vs Griggs (or anyone's) 16 tds / 2 ints. the same idiots crapped on Tez, while I pointed out the O Line is the problem. turns out ol' Reggie was right on that as well. i pointed that out after the FIRST game. notice the last two games....Tez didn't get a carry and we had the worst running games of the year. O LINE!

the hate is that im right about most of the stuff some of you are so wrong about and you can't stand it or admit it. lol

Abraham would be fine with an experienced offensive line.

Btw, Tez isn’t even on the team anymore according to one player. Lots of players have just left.
