The same stuff is going on here, it's just that it is in college classrooms and high school books. They want to revise us out of our rights and freedoms and like the Saturday Night Live skit called new Dad paste their mugs over the faces of our founding fathers who to them were the embodiment of evil and then make our children think that their socialists really saved the day.

Don't get disgusted at Frenchy. Get disgusted about what goes on here!

It is pretty funny. Other than the British, who are Brexiting, the EU WERE the Nazis (except for the Poles who both the Nazis and Communists tried to eliminate as an entity, if not exterminate).

I think you implied the French as well but don't fail to mention the Vichy French! They were Nazi to the bone.

Yes, the Vichy. The Spanish under Franco. Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Croatia all had fascist rulers and sent troops for the invasion of Russia (maybe not the Croatians-they were busy killing Serbs). And Austria was part of Germany.

The only nations we owed a thing to over there were the Brits who held Hitler off on their own until we got in, the Poles whose defectors almost to the man fought with the allies for the remainder of the war beginning with the battle of Britain with the RAF through Italy and for the main invasion of Europe. We tolerated the Russians but they owed us. But what I can't forgive the French for is even the Free French orchestrated the surrender of their capital ships to the U.S. Forces and when we sent a detachment to take them they opened up on our guys and then surrendered saying that their honor prevented them from just handing them over. Their honor, our blood! They killed our guys following their instructions. I just can't get over that line of reasoning.

Can’t quite tell — are you saying that Spain sent troops to invade Russia?
Maybe you’re just saying that’s Franco was a fascist (true). But I’ve never heard that he sent troops to help Hitler invade Russia. He kept Spain fanatically neutral in the war and — while he did nothing to jeopardize his own position — he actually showed a rather high level of tolerance for Jewish refugees who escaped from France and made it into Spain.

There's a period after Franco. That's a separate sentence.

The Spanish Civil War was a prelude to WWII with Franco's fascist supported by German troops and the Socialists supported by Russian troops.

Spain was so beat up from the Spanish Civil War, they opted to stay out of WW2. A few volunteers my have aided Germany, but none were sent.

If it wasn’t for the Americans, most of Europe would be speaking German.

Probably Russian. Stalin probably beats them anyway. He had tens of millions of farmers he was happy to sacrifice.

And the Russian peasant army ripped the flush toilets out the dwellings in Germany and took them home as war prizes. They thought they were potato washers!03-wink

Researched yesterday on the French firing on American troops. This sounds too much like a made up Fox News spin story. Toooo outlandish and honestly I can’t believe I am the only one questioning it.
