There are rumors floating around that he is currently at the top of the list for our open AD position. What are y'alls' thoughts on this? Has he been a good AD? Is he a good fundraiser?

Gilbert has been undoubtedly the best A.D. in Southern Miss history. Baseball is back to being a regional team, basketball is ahead of schedule, and our football team is just a qb away from being really good. It would be heartbreaking to lose him but if he leaves I’d wish him well. Such a great guy!

Did he hire the basketball, football or baseball coach? Weren't they all here when he started?

Nobody likes him, but he is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken s#it. He doesn’t post every time he takes a crap on twitter so our fans hate him.

He's nice, considerate, thoughtful, generous, caring, empathetic, attentive, polite, understanding, a good listener, open and accessible to all.

FAU did us a giant favor and hired our defensive coordinator last year. ECU would do us an even better favor to hire him.

He’s done a few good things while here. However, we would not be sad to see him go...not the best fit.

He might do a better job at ECU with more resources.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like he’s not done anything extraordinary either for good or bad; I guess that he’s not been there long enough to really make a difference as of yet.

If we hire him, do yourselves a favor: if he’s well enough to work again, go after Nick Floyd who was at ULM.

In all seriousness, he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Probably unprepared for the **** show he discovered in H’burg.

Prob the best AD in the country. Do yourselves a favor and hire him....immediately!
